Kindergarten - Twelfth Grade in a Christian Environment

School Hours - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. | After School Programs until 6 p.m.

We at Bethany Christian School provide Christian families with an alternative to the large, impersonal schools that unfortunately have become the norm in our country today. Because our class size is small, we are able to monitor student progress much more carefully. As a result, academic and behavioral problems can be detected and corrected in a much more timely fashion.

Since our total enrollment from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade is small, we are able to foster a family environment in which it is common to see the older students interacting with the younger ones. For example, high school students receive an elective credit for working as teacher assistants in the lower grades. Since many of our students have siblings at Bethany, it is possible for them to look after each other because all of our classes are in close proximity to each other.

The result is a family environment in which all grades from Pre-k through 12th grade feel a part of one school. Our school strives to produce good citizens by focusing on two main objectives: Christian discipleship and high academic achievement. Students in each grade receive daily classes in Bible instruction as part of their regular schedule of classes. We provide evangelical Christian instruction based upon the basic belief of salvation through "faith alone in Christ alone." Our primary instructional materials are the Bob Jones University Press curriculum for all grades. This is an excellent curriculum that helps students learn critical thinking skills within the framework of a Christian worldview.

Not only do we give attention to the mind, but we require a full range of physical education. We also have a variety of sports offered for grades 7-12.

Our school runs on a traditional 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. schedule from the first Monday of the last week of August until the end of May. We have the traditional Christmas holiday of at least two weeks and a spring break of one week in early March. For the upper school (7-12th grades) there is also a spiritual emphasis trip to a Christian camp away from the Dallas area. This time is set aside for a combination of spiritual activities and challenging outdoor activities which are designed to help the students experience exciting outdoor activities as well as team-building activities that emphasize cooperation and supporting your teammates.

We offer all this at a surprisingly affordable tuition rate. Please give us a call at 972-596-5811 to schedule a visit. We'd love to talk with you more about our school.

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it...
